RV Rentals; To Rent Or To Buy, That Is The Question

The truth is that even if you like camping in an RV, most people can’t afford to go out and buy one. Tent camping requires tons of extra work. Camping in an RV requires parking and enjoying. It’s not uncommon for people to realize how incredible it is to get into the outdoors, and then desire to do that with their family and loved ones on a regular basis. The reality is that buying an RV is really pricey, and not everyone can afford that cost.

The problem with buying an RV is that once you have it, you realize how little you use it. Why spend tens of thousands on something that only gets minimal use? An RV usually costs more than the family car. RVs are known for sitting for months on end unused. Not only does it take up space and require ample storage, it also costs you money whether you are using it or not.

Like any vehicle, an RV requires routine maintenance and insurance. The yearly costs of that can add up, with typical insurance costing $2,912 a year on average. With that kind of cost in addition to the tremendous amount you’ll spend purchasing and maintaining an RV, it makes a lot more sense to rent one. Renting an RV gets you what you want at a fraction of the price with less stress in the process.

The only time it really makes sense to buy an RV is if you want to live in it and travel the country. Although you’ll only use your RV a few times throughout the year, you’ll be paying on it year round in the form of insurance. If the point is to relax more and destress, then the last thing you want to do is add another vehicle in your life that has to be maintained constantly. Not only would renting an RV in Connecticut make better financial sense, but it would also provide you with far less stress in your life.

Buying an RV may be the right choice for some people, but for the vast majority, renting is the way to go. You can get all the perks with none of the work, none of the maintenance, and none of the additional annual insurance premiums. The RV gets picked up, serves its’ purpose, and then gets dropped off. There’s nothing more to worry about. Why spend more when you can get out and have fun with less stress? Do what you love for less. Rent an RV in Connecticut.
